The Response Overview module allows data from multiple projects to be combined into a single overview. This enables trends to be compared, repeated measurements to be consolidated, and data from different target groups to be viewed side by side.

Merging data
In IT5, “combining” refers to merging response data from selected projects into a single dataset. This consolidated dataset is then used in tables, charts, status overviews, and export files. The merging process is based on question names, variables, answer options, and sample fields.
Data can be combined from different waves of the same study, projects containing identical questions, projects with the same sample fields, or even projects from different years. For repeated measurements (for example, 2024 and 2025), combining data is particularly useful for identifying and analyzing trends over time.
To allow questions to be merged, the question name and question text must match exactly. Always double-check the questions beforehand to confirm that they are intended to be merged.
