Number – IT5 Knowledge Base

The Number node type should be selected when a numerical value is required from the respondent, such as age or length.

Both whole numbers and decimals can be entered, and adding a calculator is optional.

Settings

A Number node includes several common settings that are shared across most other node types, providing consistent functionality and configuration options.
The specific Number settings are described in the following section, and detailed information about the common settings can be found below.

Open question settings

In addition to the common settings, the Number node also includes specific settings.

Setting	Description
Alignment answer text	Sets the text alignment (left or right).
Show prefix	Displays a small text or icon before the answer, for example http:// when a URL is required.
Show suffix	Displays a small text or icon after the answer, for example a file extension such as pdf.
Show calculator	Show a calculator button to help the respondents to answer the question.
Allow negative numbers	Enabling this toggle willaAllows negative numbers.
Separate thousands by a decimal point	Enabling this toggle will automatically add decimal point(s) to answers when needed.
Maximum number of digits	The maximum number of digits allowed.
Decimal point	Choose the decimal point (either comma or period)
Placeholder	Adds a placeholder to the text area to provide additional information to the respondent.
Hint text	Adds a small hint text below the text area to provide additional information to the respondent.
