The questionnaire can be opened from the Survey Editor by clicking one of the open questionnaire icons on the right side of the toolbar. Both open the draft version and allow it to be completed: one shows it as a respondent would see it, the other opens it in debug mode.
Open questionnaire in debug mode

Pressing this icon opens a new browser window, showing several options on the left side and a field where the start code can be entered to begin the questionnaire.
The table below explains the different debug options.
| Option | Description |
| Debug info | Enabling this option opens a panel on the right side with additional information about the current node. |
| Force visible | Enabling this toggle will always show all nodes; Goto statements are ignored. |
| Suppress errors | When enabled, errors can still appear but will not block further navigation. |
| Suppress warnings | When enabled, warnings can still appear, but a warning dialog will not be shown. |
| Start code | A new start code can be entered here after the questionnaire has been started. |
| Go to node | Navigate to another node. |
| Device simulator | Simulate a special device. |
| Select device | Select a device from this list. |
It should be noted that debug mode is only accessible when accessed via the Survey Editor. Respondents cannot accidentally open the questionnaire in debug mode and therefore cannot bypass questions.
A red border is displayed on the Survey Response screen when force visible is enabled or when someone navigates directly to a specific question. This ensures that the user is aware that the normal routing has been overridden.
